I forgot how crappy apartment hunting can be. Especially apartment hunting on a budget in super high rent Seattle. There are very few apartments (including studios) that rent for less than $700 a month. I would really like to keep it far less than that, but it may be that I have to suck it up and pay that much. My first apartment ever in Olympia was a two bedroom that rented for $650. A two bedroom in Seattle is not to be found for under $900.

It also appears to me that it's just not a renters market right now. There isn't much out there. I have comfort in knowing that I don't really have a deadline since I'm living at home. (mom won't kick me to the curb...I hope anyway) I can take my time and find one that will be suitable. Really, I don't have a long list of expectations. I would prefer a place that's quiet and older, but I'm flexible.

I think if I'm assertive in my searching and visualize what it is that I really want, I'll find it. That's the way I found my last little gem.
