Apr. 26th, 2006 12:55 pmGood news peeps. I start working tomorrow. The place I mentioned yesterday wants me. It's temp for 6 weeks with the potential for permanent if it is a good fit. I'm so glad. At least I see the end of my lazy streak. If this job works out, it would be really great for me. They have EXCELLENT benefits, vacation etc.. I will work with a division of Fred Hutch. I'm excited to be working near the medical field since I have a little, teeny, budding interest in that area. I will get to work directly with patients which could be sad, but also very rewarding. OK, so I'm pretty excited. I don't want to get my hopes up too high should it be a total suck-fest tomorrow. After my job in Japan, just about anything sounds tolerable.
I have a good feeling about May and this summer in general. I start housesitting next month which will be nice for my sleep. I like hanging out with the kitties a lot. After a couple of days I sort of become this crazy cat lady and start talking to them. Alright, yes, I talk to all animals all the time. I can't help it. It will be good that I start my "official" tri training while I'm over there too. It can be really tiring the first couple of weeks. I like that pool a lot too. It's quite posh compared to the Greenlake pool. Poor, poor Greenlake pool. So tired, and overused. You would think that with as busy as Greenlake is they could afford to remodel. Even at the 10a - 12p swim it's packed with geriatrics and babies.
Other than that, not much else is happening. It's cold and cloudy today. I know I should accept that it's only the very beginning of spring, but I thought it was going to be sunny forever...
