Feb. 10th, 2006 12:00 pmLast night as I was on my way home we pulled up at a light next to another bus. As I looked over at the bus next to us I saw a man (19 maybe?) digging for gold. He was seriously going to town like he had a football in his nose or something. Now I wish I hadn't looked. There is some magnetic pull that forces you to observe the people on a bus next to yours at any given light.
I'm happy to report that I've made it to Friday. I got about 5 hours of sleep last night and I haven't crashed yet. I'm expecting that when I return from the gym and sit down in my chair I will immediately want to nod off.
Tomorrow is the family birthday party for my little niece (turning 5) and my nephew (turning 10). They're getting so big. My other niece will be 14 next month. It's harder to watch them getting older than it is to watch myself. I like aging. Sometimes I long for when they were babies.
I'm looking forward to a weekend of 1. sleeping, 2. eating, 3. sunshine, 4. exercise, 5. shopping (a little), 6. reading and studying Japanese.
