(no subject)

Foolish woman that I am, I went to work today. I am too sick to be at work. They sent me home at 12:30pm. I didn't fight about it. I guess they aren't big on people coming into work contagious with the proximity to cancer patients. Makes sense. If they don't want me there, then I'm glad to come home and have a nap.
I shouldn't go to work that sick anyway. I could barely keep my eyes open and I felt really feverish so it was dumb to be there. The woman sitting next to me on the bus this morning looked like she wanted to crawl out of her skin every time I sneezed or sniffled.

It's OK I guess. I feel tolerable for half an hour at a time during which I can tippity-tap on the computer. Then I have to go lie down a la Billy Crystal in When Harry Met Sally and moan on the bed for awhile.

I keep thinking of entertaining ideas like making mix cd's for my friends and then I realize that even that is more work than I can deal with right now. My blank cd's are in the other room which feels like miles away.

I think that when we're sick it's sometimes a way for the universe to tell us to slow down a bit. I was moving a fairly full speed for awhile. Still, it's annoying.

p.s. if anyone feels like delivering me some Pho noodle soup, I'd be really happy about that. *wink* *cough*
