I had a crazy dream about Japan last night. Or my arrival TO Japan I should say. I was taken to my new apartment and it was really strange. It was fairly large (for Japan anyway), but it turned out that I had to share a bathroom/shower with two Gaijin guys who lived next door but were also teaching. They were total frat boy types and I was annoyed with them immediately. Then I started looking around my apt and it was crammed full of crap belonging to the teachers that came before me. Stuff like old Hello Kitty dolls and just weird stuff. I was super annoyed because I'm not a big fan of knick-knacks. I don't like a lot of stuff. The apt was also kind of dingy and dirty. There were only two windows and they were up near the ceiling and hard to see out of. I realized I would have to get rid of all their old stuff but I wasn't sure how. I figured I would have to throw most of it away and I wasn't sure what was burnable etc..
Then it turned out that I had a roommate too (which won't happen in real life). Apparently we were already friends from Seattle or something. Then I accidentally walk in on her and some guy having sex in the kitchen. I had taken a nap and they thought it was safe. I was so steamed that I told her she had to leave. (this would not happen in real life, in real life I would probably be skeezed out and that's about it) She was super sad.

I guess I slept really deeply last night to have that detailed of a dream. Or maybe it was the DEE-licious fish n'chips I had. Man they were so good. They were voted Best in Seattle, so I guess it makes sense.
I discovered that my new computer is messed up. The disc drive is all smooshed and you can't get a disc in. I'm really bummed. Fortunately it's under warranty and it's a Mac so I'm sure it's fine. I have no idea how it got that way. I'm curious if it has always been that way.
