Dec. 5th, 2005 08:57 amYesterday I had chocolate chip and banana pancakes made from scratch for breakfast. I wish I was eating those now. I like my job OK but I really wish there was one more day to last weekend. Oh the things I could be doing!
This morning I woke up at 5:30 because I had to pee so bad I thought I was going to explode. It was freezing in the house (as usual) so I turned on my little space heater and went back to bed after peeing. I snuggled back into my bed with the blankets tucked under my feet and pulled up to my chin. Muffin curled up next to me and purred (mostly her loud purring is a polite way of saying "please wake up and feed me"). There is something heavenly about this state. There was a gentle blue light just barely starting to come into my room and I was *so* warm and snuggled up. Getting up, getting on the bus and coming downtown just felt like torture. But I did it, and here I am.
We're back to being slow again. I can tell there are some projects looming on the horizon. My bosses have that look of, "don't get too comfortable, we have something big coming for you".
I asked if I could have Friday off to go snowboarding with my friends and I know it's going to be iffy. Even if we're not busy they act like they REALLY need to have me here, when actually I don't think they do.
