This morning I woke up HUNGRY. I ate a bowl of Cherrios with bananas and then when I got to work I had a peanut butter sandwich with bananas. For some reason sometimes the combo of peanut butter and wheat bread makes me gag. I have no idea why. It just does. If anyone else suffers this phenomenon, please let me know.
I've started a mental list of oddball things to bring to Japan-
Two large jars of peanut butter
My neti pot
A large bottle of Aleve (sure hope I can bring that into the country)

I can't believe I'm making a list already and it's 5 months away. Ever since I made the decision to go, I haven't doubted it. I hope that means it's the right one. I'm not looking forward to that petrified feeling again.
I moved into my new temporary home for the next 3 months. It's really cute and cozy. It's a nice switch from my apartment. It's a relief to be able to not see the kitchen from my bed. My roommates are pretty cool. We're all SO different, which keeps things interesting. Muffin comes home on Saturday and I'm excited. I miss her terribly. She's really mad at me too. When I went to mom's last weekend she hunkered down and wouldn't purr for me. She wouldn't even bite me.
I think in the spirit of things it's time to try the Japanese restaurant around the corner for lunch today. It's very conveinient to be right next to the International District. Oh and on that note, is it really so bad to call it Chinatown? I realize that the ID is more p.c., but I really prefer Chinatown. It sounds cooler and hipper, like "Little Italy".
